The proposed argument

The ansatz u(x,t)=sqrt(F(x)^2+t^2) reduces the affine-maximal equation to a radial system. A local integral fixed point supplies a smooth solution at the origin; a box for logarithmic derivatives is then used to continue it globally while retaining positivity.

    Your independent assessment

Check the Hessian and equation reduction, local smoothness, invariant-box inequalities, and global continuation. Keep pointwise positive definiteness separate from uniform convexity and affine-metric completeness.
